Chapter 1
1. What problems or conflicts are presented in chapter one? Tao needing to find a rabbit is an obvious one; identify at least two more.
2. Predict the resolution of each conflict.
1.the problems in the story are that Volt got mad at him and he did not get another rabbit so he can not go back to the camp.
2.I think that he will get a rabbit and he will show Volt that he can draw.
Chapter 2
What two important events happen in this chapter?
Tao found a baby wolf in the woods that had a bone stuck in his jaw and he discovered paint.
Chapter 3
1. What do Tao and Ram learn to do together?
hunt.
2. What decision does Tao tell Volt?
that he will hunt alone without the other hunters.
3. Look at Tao's decisions and actions from Volt's perspective. Pretend you are Volt. Write a first person paragraph explaining how you feel.
I am Volt and i wouldn't be mad at Tao because he is still going to bring food. I would be mad only if tao doesn't bring the food like he said. Still,all my other hunters will hunt for me.Were all going to have food because my hunters and Tao will both bring food. So,I am not mad.

I agree with Graybeard because if i were Tao i would care about living so, I would instead wait for my turn and then if they don't pick me then i would draw and not care.
what he said was true then and some of what he said is still true now because right now people still can't draw on walls unless they have permission from an elder.

An important theme in this novel is that people should follow their dreams and do what they believe is right, even if they don't follow their society's expected ways.
The author examines this theme in a stone age setting. Imagine a similar situation today.

A girl who wanted to be a truck driver.

i think that she should do what she wannts because she's not going to leave her children she's just going to work.

yes, because he showed Tao how to draw almost as good as him but even though he's strict I would really want to be shown how to draw by the master.

1.No,because he could have gotten Ram killed and Tao could have kept his secret.
2.Maybe Tao will find Graybeard and he will help him cross the river.
